Bladder EpiCheck Urine Test

The Bladder EpiCheck is a urine test that can exclude the presence of bladder cancer with very high accuracy. The only thing needed for this is a urine sample from the patient. The test distinguishes cancer cells from healthy cells and can therefore accurately detect the absence of bladder cancer. The NPV (negative predictive value) is more than 99 percent! With a negative result, follow-up (by means of a cystoscopy) is less often required in the hospital. This offers higher quality of life for the patients, and due to fewer cystoscopies to be performed by hospital staff, can also provide relief in the daily workload for the urology department.
